He completed his MBBS in 1999 from Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur. He then did his MS and a fellowship in total joint replacement surgery too.
Dr. Shekhar is an expert at primary and revision total hip replacement, hip resurfacing, unicondylr knee replacement and arthroscopy. He has also performed a number of complex joint replacement surgeries in a ankylosed hip and knees having over 40 degree bends with a long series of valgus knees. He is among the few surgeons in Central India who perform Navigated joint replacement surgeries. He has pioneered the latest technology in knee replacement surgery, where the patient is able to bend his knee completely after the replacement procedure.
He also uses latest technology and alternative bearing surfaces in replacement of hips and knees which may improve the long term benefits of the surgery.
